About me!!

Hi! My name is Sarah Gromer, and I am a junior at the University of Arkansas studying Special Education. I am from Kansas City and have lived there most of my life. KC is a wonderful place and I am grateful I get to call it home. I have 3 siblings, all which are married and one niece and nephew. My hobbies are traveling, exploring new things, hiking, being in the outdoors and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite time of year is fall, especially here in Arkansas :)

I became interested in the field of education because I have a cousin who has special needs, as well as many friends. Additionally, I have spent most of my summers since middle school working at summer camps for individuals with disabilities. Choosing my degrees was really easy for me, because this is something that I have been passionate about for a long time.  I love spending time with individuals with disabilities. I love getting to be their friend and celebrating their strengths and the value that they have. Through my experiences I have seen that we can learn so many wonderful things about life from individuals with disabilities. I love helping these individuals work towards their goals and passions because they are capable of so much.
